Smithwick On The Mend

As many of you know, our friend and fellow official Jim Smithwick was critically injured in a car accident out-of-state, during December of 2019.  After several surgeries and a long stay in the hospital, Jim says he is on the mend.  Recently, John Conklin spoke with Jim and here is the update:

“I spoke with Jim Smithwick. He is home recuperating, and doing well. He is building strength, stamina and lung capacity. His doctors have told him he should be able to return to all of his previous activities, including football officiating, and he anticipates being back in the fall. Jim thanks everyone for their support and prayers, and intends to return to the field this fall.”

Please continue to send your well wishes to Jim and we look forward to seeing him on the field this fall.
