January 2021 Update

Registration for new high school football officials is now available for ONLY $28 at https://www.denverfootballofficials.com/product/spring-2021-reg/. The Denver Football Officials Association has worked with CHSAA to permit new football officials to register for the Spring 2021 high school football season for $28 (normally $115 per season), which includes the mandatory background check, insurance coverage, and registration in ArbiterSports for game assignments and payments.

The Spring 2021 high school football season is set to start on March 18, 2021 and run for a 6-week regular season followed by 3 playoff weeks with championships the weekend of May 13-15. If the season is cancelled, fees paid, except $10 for the background check, will be refunded or applied to the Fall 2021 high school football season. The background check is good for three years to officiate any CHSAA sport. New officials who register for the Spring 2021 football season will be eligible to register for the Fall 2021 football season for the veteran registration fee of $87.

Classes for new officials consisting of five virtual Zoom classes and one on field class will begin in mid-February. The full class schedule will be available shortly. The classes are strongly recommended for new officials. There is no additional fee for the classes.

You are encouraged to register by February 1 to receive a Rulebook and Casebook prior to the start of new officials classes.

Please feel free to contact John Conklin with any questions.
